The Telluride has received a total redesign for 2027 and comes with more rugged styling and an attractive interior design that sets a new standard in the segment. Kia designers have reimagined every aspect of this popular SUV, resulting in a bolder, more commanding presence on the roads of Carlsbad. The exterior features sharper lines and enhanced proportions that emphasize this vehicle's adventurous spirit while maintaining the stylish elegance that made the original Telluride so popular.
Inside, the cabin showcases a completely refreshed layout with upgraded materials and modern technology integration. The redesigned dashboard features a more driver-focused orientation, with controls positioned intuitively for ease of use. Premium soft-touch surfaces, available leather upholstery, and ambient lighting options create an inviting atmosphere for San Diego families. The updated infotainment system offers enhanced connectivity features, including wireless smartphone integration and an advanced navigation system.
The 2027 Kia Telluride offers a maximum towing capacity of 5,500 pounds, making it an excellent choice for families who enjoy camping, boating, or other recreational activities that require hauling equipment. This impressive capability allows you to tow small to medium-sized boats and travel or utility trailers without compromising the vehicle's performance or stability.
All X-Pro models come equipped with a standard towing hitch, providing immediate capability right from the factory. Other trims offer the towing hitch as an option, allowing buyers to customize their Telluride to their specific needs. The integrated trailer sway control and hill-start assist make towing easier and safer, even for Temecula drivers who are new to hauling.
Fuel efficiency remains a high priority for the 2027 Telluride, with front-wheel-drive models achieving up to 20 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on Oceanside, CA highways. These figures represent competitive fuel economy for a three-row SUV of this size and capability, helping to reduce your overall cost of ownership while minimizing trips to the gas station.
The efficient powertrain uses advanced engineering to maximize every drop of fuel while still delivering the responsive performance drivers expect. Whether you're commuting to work or heading out on a family road trip, the Telluride strikes an excellent balance between power and efficiency that makes it practical for everyday use.
Yes, the 2027 Telluride offers captain's chairs for buyers who prefer this seating configuration. A three-across bench seat comes standard in the second row, maximizing passenger capacity for larger families. However, select trims are available with captain's chairs in the second row, reducing the total number of passengers by one while providing enhanced comfort and easier access to the third row.
Captain's chairs offer individual armrests and additional personal space, creating a more luxurious experience for second-row passengers. The center aisle created by this configuration makes it easier for passengers to enter and exit the third row, which families with children find especially convenient.
